APC PowerChute Personal Edition Update Patch 1

Issues resolved in this Patch:

This patch release resolves a customer issue. Customers machines with remote desktop connections 
are not protected when a critical power event occurs. This issue is seen with PowerChute Personal
Edition v3.0 and later.

Pre-requisite:

You need to have PowerChute Personal Edition v3.0.2 installed on the system before applying this 
patch.

Customers using earlier versions should upgrade to PowerChute Personal Edition 3.0.2 before applying
this patch

Installation Instructions:

1. Download and extract file "PowerChute Personal Edition Patch 1.zip" to a folder.
2. Open the PowerChute Personal Edition GUI from start menu.
3. Navigate to the "Options" page and uncheck the check box "Always show icon on the taskbar".
4. Close the GUI.
5. Open Services console. To open Services console Click on start menu and type services.msc
6. On the Services console, right click and stop "APC UPS Service" and "APC Data Service". 
7. Copy the files "mainserve.exe" and "rdp.dll" from the extracted location to installation folder.
8. On the Services console right click and start "APC Data Service" and "APC UPS Service".
9. Open the PowerChute Personal Edition GUI from start menu.
10. Navigate to the "Options" page and check the check box "Always show icon on the taskbar".

The patch is successfully installed now.
